Professional biography

J. Verhaeghe: notarial expertise grounded in precision, care and trust

Behind every legal deed lies an important decision, a life project or a professional commitment that deserves undivided attention.

A career dedicated to notarial practice

After earning a Master of Laws from the Université libre de Bruxelles, J. Verhaeghe completed a three-year notarial traineeship in Brussels offices, developing in-depth expertise in civil, real estate, family, wealth and company law.

Appointed as a notary by royal decree in 2011, he now leads an office firmly rooted in Brussels and advises Belgian and international clients at key moments in their private, family and professional lives.

A rigorous and accessible legal approach

Every matter begins with a careful analysis of the client’s circumstances, objectives, constraints and long-term consequences. Legal, tax and wealth-planning options are identified and compared with precision.

Complex law should never prevent understanding. Every clause, obligation and consequence is explained in clear language, enabling clients to make informed and lasting decisions.

Real estate, family and wealth expertise

For property matters, he oversees every stage from the preliminary agreement and legal checks to the authentic deed and post-signature formalities. In family and estate matters, he combines technical accuracy with discretion and attentive guidance.

A strategic adviser to entrepreneurs

He advises entrepreneurs, directors and shareholders on incorporation, articles, transfers, restructuring and governance. His approach considers the business, the owner’s private wealth and the family context as one connected whole.

Independence and continuously updated expertise

As a notary, J. Verhaeghe acts independently, impartially and in strict confidence. Regular professional training ensures that her advice reflects current legal, tax and regulatory developments.

A lasting professional relationship

High-quality notarial guidance depends not only on an accurate deed, but also on accessibility, clear explanations and foresight. Every matter receives the same standard of care and personal attention.

“A notary’s role is not limited to authenticating a deed. It is to understand a situation, anticipate its consequences and give every client the legal certainty needed to decide with confidence.”
J. Verhaeghe, Notary
